About Us

The A&T Foundation can be traced to a husband and wife team
The founders shared a childhood passion for rescuing animals down on their luck. Dr. Anthony's approach was to stop abuse by direct intervention and Trissa's approach was to feed the hungry, nurse the sick and collect the down and out.  Dr. A was 10 years old when he stood between a rifle toting killer and an orphan dog and declared "you'll have to shoot me first."  Trissa rescued a tiny kitten while substituting for her sister's paper route.  She was also 10years old.

Children who grew up but never changed
They say a "leopard doesn't change its spots" and so it is with our founders.  No matter where they lived or what their living circumstances were, they collected the down trodden, the unwanted and the abused.

People and Animals, but animals are so much easier to save
Dr. A grew up to be a clinical/medical psychologist and has a long list of patients and clients he has helped.  Trissa worked with troubled children and served as their surrogate mother and big sister.

Education and Motivation

The A&T Foundation knows two things.  Kind people need education and motivation and unkind and cold people need to be controlled with laws and public scrutiny.

Need Services?

You'll find links to animal welfare organizations that we have found are in the business to help animals, not another way to make a living USING animals as a way to do that.

What they need

They need a kind soul to love, feed and nurture them. A pet is a commitment for the life of the pet.

The Love of  Animals

Pets give us unconditional love & we, as their caretakers need to return the same. We need to be there for them when they grow old and need us the most.

Something Good

Did you know that if you can't adopt a pet, you can foster one. Being a foster parent to a pet in need, can be the difference between life & death.
